Henri Alvarez has over 30 years of experience in the field of international commercial
arbitration and dispute resolution. Since 1985, Alvarez has taught a course in this field at the Faculty of Law
at e University of British Columbia. He has acted as both arbitrator and counsel in international and
domestic commercial arbitrations involving investments, franchising, licensing, distributorship, construction,
oil and gas, energy, banking, corporate and general commercial disputes. Alvarez has served as sole arbitra-
tor, party-appointed arbitrator and presiding arbitrator under the auspices of several international arbitral
institutions. He regularly conducts arbitrations in English, Spanish and French. Alvarez is one of the most
highly regarded practitioners worldwide, recognized by the International Who's Who of Commercial Arbitra-

Tina Cicchetti is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group who specializes in arbitration
of complex commercial disputes and arbitration-related litigation. She has acted as arbitrator, counsel and
tribunal secretary in numerous arbitrations involving a range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions,
shareholder and joint-venture disputes, construction, expropriation and distribution agreements. Cicchetti ad-
vises international and Canadian clients both when draing arbitration agreements and aer a dispute arises,
including the strategic options available in commercial and treaty arbitration. From 2003 to 2011, she taught
a seminar on international commercial disputes as an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia,
Faculty of Law. Former President and current Advisory Board member of YCAP, member of ICC Canada
