Guy Pratte focuses his practice on civil litigation (with emphasis on commercial litiga-
tion and class actions), administrative and constitutional law. He is also oen retained
in complex cases of all types. Fully bilingual, he has an active practice in Ontario and
Québec. Pratte regularly pleads before the Supreme Court of Canada and the Superior
and Appeal Courts of Ontario and Québec, as well as the Federal Court and Federal

contributions to the legal profession." He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial

Gerry Ranking is recognized as a leading litigator whose practice focuses on all aspects of
civil, administrative and commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on professional
negligence, pensions, cross-border issues, shareholder rights, banking, insurance, product
liability and employment matters. He has appeared in all levels of court in Ontario, the
Federal Court of Canada, the Supreme Court of Canada and before administrative
boards and tribunals. Ranking taught advanced civil procedure and negotiation skills at
one of Canada's leading law schools. He is regularly called upon to advise one of Canada's
largest accounting firms, as well as major Canadian insurance and public companies.
Ranking lectures on a wide variety of topics ranging from commercial litigation and
ADR issues to managing exposure in regulatory investigations. He is a member of e
