One of Canada's leading litigators and a frequent lecturer, Peter Osborne has a broad civil litigation and administrative law practice encompassing cross-border commercial disputes, complex cross-border restructuring and insolvency cases, class actions and securities matters, as well as professional malpractice litigation and disciplin- ary proceedings. He was counsel to Government of Canada in the litigation and related insolvency proceedings around the tobacco smuggling, which yielded the largest civil settlement in Canadian history. Osborne also advises boards of directors of public and private companies and special committees on governance, cross-border litigation and insolvency proceedings. He has helped oversee the restructuring of some of Canada's largest companies. Terrence J. O'Sullivan was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1973. His practice includes civil and commercial litigation with an emphasis on business disputes, financial insti- tution litigation, class actions, defense of regulatory charges and professional discipline matters. He regularly appears in all levels of court in Ontario and other provinces, including the Supreme Court of Canada. O'Sullivan is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and a past president of e Advocates' Society of Ontario. He was a co-author of the Civil Justice Review (volumes one and two) and is former Chair of the Joint Committee on Court Reform of the province of Ontario.
