Broad and eclectic cross-border international commercial litigation practice with em-
phasis on matters involving some element of dishonesty or corporate misconduct, includ-
ing white-collar crime, securities fraud, corruption and competition law violations. He has
acted as counsel to boards of directors, audit committees and special committees investi-
gating allegations of serious corporate misconduct. Recognized as a creative and strategic
problem solver. He has also acted as counsel and arbitrator in numerous domestic and in-
ternational arbitrations. He has appeared before all levels of court in Canada and numer-
ous administrative tribunals. Frequent lecturer on a broad range of issues and former part-
time teacher at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law.
Joined Torys as Counsel in September 2004 a er retiring as a Justice of the Supreme
Court of Canada. In September 2004, he also began serving as Interim President of the
University of Toronto and assumed a full-time senior advisory role at Torys in July 2005.
As Counsel, Frank Iacobucci advises government and business on important legal and
policy matters. His work includes guidance, advice and support to clients of Torys and
members of the fi rm. A former Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Law and the Univer-
sity of Toronto, he is the author of numerous publications and recipient of many awards

Columbia, including trial and appellate courts and the SCC. Has also appeared before
administrative tribunals and international/domestic arbitration panels. Acts as arbitrator

Practices business, public and international trade and investment law. Has substantial
experience at all levels of court in Ontario, before the Supreme Court of Canada, in com-
mercial and investment arbitrations and before a variety of administrative tribunals. Rec-
ognized by Chambers Global, Lexpert®, Who's Who Legal and other publications as a lead-
ing lawyer in arbitration, international trade, public law and Aboriginal law. Has taught
arbitration advocacy in Canada, US, Switzerland, Brazil and India. Adjunct faculty mem-
