Teresa M. Tomchak has extensive experience in securities litigation and regulation.
Tomchak has been involved in numerous shareholder disputes, hostile take-over bids,
proxy fi ghts and securities class actions, including several precedent-setting decisions.
Her practice also includes securities regulatory matters such as investigations and en-
forcement hearings before various provincial securities commissions and IIROC. ese
matters have included allegations of insider trading, illegal distributions, market manipu-
lation, discretionary trading and registration requirements. Tomchak co-authored and
updates an award-winning text, British Columbia Business Disputes. She frequently speaks
on securities-related topics at conferences. She was also named one of Lexpert®'s "Rising
Stars: Leading Lawyers Under 40" in 2013. Tomchak frequently works on matters spe-
cifi c to the mining industry and she is a member of the Prospectors and Developers As-
sociation of Canada.
