Partner. Matthew Sammon's practice encompasses complex corporate and commercial
litigation, professional liability and medical malpractice, and employment matters. Sam-
mon represents medical professionals and large corporations across a wide range of sectors,
including fi nancial services, banking, telecommunications, retail, regulated health profes-
sions, manufacturing, hospitality, and oil & gas. He also has legal expertise in conducting
forensic investigations into the misappropriation of trade secrets, as well as unfair competi-
tion practices by former offi cers and employees. Sammon appears regularly in all levels of
the Ontario courts, and before administrative and arbitration tribunals. Sammon appears
as defense counsel before the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and the On-
tario Health Professions Review and Appeal Board. He has also appeared as counsel in a
number of coroner's inquests. He is a frequent writer and speaker on various specialized
legal topics.

David Stack is a partner in the Saskatoon offi ce of McKercher LLP where he practices in
the areas of civil litigation, administrative law, employment and labor law, and corporate
and commercial law. He is currently the Chair of the fi rm's Labor, Employment and Hu-
man Rights Law Practice Group, a member of the Executive Committee, and the pro bono
coordinator for the fi rm. He has a signifi cant Education Law practice, and has been recog-
nized by his peers for inclusion in e Best Lawyers in Canada in the Education Law cat-
egory. He has experience in all levels of court in Saskatchewan and has appeared before the
Supreme Court of Canada. He is on the Board of Directors of the St. omas More Law-
