Andrew Bernstein's practice focuses on business law disputes, including intellectual
property, commercial and public law matters. A signifi cant portion of his practice involves
patents, copyright, trade-marks and trade secrets arising in the life sciences, information
technology, media and other industries. Bernstein has substantial expertise in pharmaceu-
tical patents cases. He also has expertise in advertising and regulatory law. Also maintains
an active commercial litigation practice, including considerable experience in class actions,
defamation and contract matters. Substantial expertise in administrative and constitution-
al matters. Bernstein is also an experienced appellate lawyer, and has appeared numerous
times in Divisional Court, the Ontario and Federal Courts of Appeal, and the Supreme
Court of Canada. Recognized as a leading practitioner in intellectual property litigation

Partner and head of Goodmans' Litigation Group. Focuses on commercial and intel-
lectual property litigation. Frequently appears before the Federal Court of Canada and the
Ontario Superior Court of Justice representing pharmaceutical clients regarding intellec-
tual property and trade-mark matters. Particularly active in proceedings prosecuted pursu-
ant to the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations and has been a frequent
speaker and chair of conferences in respect of such Regulations. Lecturer for the LLM
health law IP course at Osgoode Hall Law School. Recognized by Lexpert® and Chambers

Donald Cameron is a partner with Bereskin & Parr LLP. His practice focuses on intel-
lectual property litigation, particularly relating to patent, trade-mark, copyright, trade se-
crets law, and technology licenses, as well as trade-mark prosecution. He also advises clients
on intellectual property portfolio strategies and the intellectual property aspects of tech-
nology licensing. He is certifi ed by e Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in
Intellectual Property Law (Patents, Trade-marks and Copyright) and Civil Litigation.
Cameron has participated in intellectual property law litigation involving a broad range of
technologies and businesses, including electromagnetic fi elds and induction, semiconduc-
tor chip fabrication, telecommunications, mechanical devices, bioengineering, biotech-
nology, pharmaceuticals and computer databases. Cameron is an Adjunct Professor of
Law at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and Osgoode Hall Law School at York
University, teaching Patent and Trade Secret law at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
