LEXPERT RISING STARS: CELEBRATING YOUNG LAWYERS AT THE TOP OF THEIR PROFESSIONAL GAME Key Media would like to thank our Event Partner, Fasken, Innovation Partner, Dye & Durham, and Silver Partners, LEAP, Blakes, and Norton Rose Fulbright, and our advisory panel, for dedicating their time. For future event sponsorship opportunities visit risingstarscanada.com or contact us at events@keymedia.com. OFFICIAL MEDIA SUPPORTING MEDIA ORGANIZER The Lexpert Rising Stars Awards are presented by Lexpert magazine and supported by Canadian Lawyer and InHouse magazines. Lexpert Rising Stars honours the exceptional legal professionals in the 40-and-under age range. Lawyers nominated their colleagues and peers for the outstanding contributions they have made to the legal sphere. An extensive independent judging panel reviewed the submissions and cast their votes. Key Media is grateful for the judges' contributions to selecting excellence and is excited to celebrate the winners' achievements on Thursday, Nov. 23, at the Liberty Grand in Toronto. Thank you to our event sponsors: Event Partner Fasken, Innovation Partner Dye & Durham, and Silver Sponsors Norton Rose Fulbright, LEAP, and Blake Cassels & Graydon LLP. With so much outstanding talent to choose from, selecting the Rising Stars is a tough challenge, according to this year's judges. "I've been a panelist since 2019, and there's not been a single year when it has been easy," says Nora Osbaldeston, Ontario regional managing partner at Miller Thomson LLP. "It's really important that we're picking candidates that represent rich but very different contributions that our lawyers make in the legal profession across the country. In that way, it is always a challenge to assess very significant but different contributions." Leola Pon is associate director of education, organizational transformation and accountability at the Toronto District School Board. "It's probably one of the most difficult assignments to do because there are a lot of good candidates with a really diverse set of experiences and accomplishments," says Pon. "One of the greatest challenges is trying to find what distinguishes one from another." www.risingstarscanada.com #LexpertRisingStars
