Hugh DesBrisay is a founding partner at DMG Advocates LLP. He practices in the areas of litigation and
dispute resolution with an emphasis on commercial litigation, product liability (automotive, heavy equip-
ment and consumer products), franchise law and class action defense. He started practicing as a litigation
lawyer in 1986. He was a partner and counsel at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP and a founding partner of

Ryder Gilliland is an accomplished litigator with a wide-ranging counsel practice spanning many litigation

Kathryn J. Manning is a partner with a broad commercial litigation practice. Her experience includes share-
holder, product liability, class action, employment, professional negligence and civil fraud disputes. Repre-
senting both Canadian and US clients, she has experience in cross-border matters, including enforcement of
US judgments in Ontario and multi-jurisdiction class actions. Kathryn also has expertise in eDiscovery law
