financial planners make will underscore an important aspect of the
profession and serve as another way to gain more recognition. The
firm hired to conduct the survey is in the process of analysing the data.
Academic partnership
Because the next generation of financial planners is important, we
have signed an academic partnership agreement with Université Laval.
Through this initiative, students who want to earn the financial planner
title can receive a scholarship for a reduced rate to register for the
Professional Training Course (PTC) and the IQPF exam.
The first scholarship competition was held in March 2017 and 13 students
have already received a scholarship to complete the PTC.
The Solution IQPF continues to evolve
Just in time for the congress, the web version of the Solution IQPF
was overhauled to provide an interface more like the mobile versions.
Now you can save annotations and favourites and access them
from any platform. The Collection de l'IQPF content also scrolls
continuously now, so you can navigate from one module to another
without having to click on the titles in the table of contents. And
finally, there is a great new search option that lets you limit your
search to specific sections of the Solution.
2017 Congress
As I am writing these lines, the IQPF's 2017 Congress has just
wrapped up. It is always a pleasure to get together! If you took part,
I hope you enjoyed the training activity focused on real estate. If you
didn't, the course will be available by webcast soon. Take advantage
of it to complete your PDUs before the end of the training cycle on
November 30.
The congress is also the time for the annual assembly, and we took
the opportunity to acknowledge the achievements of outgoing
directors Nathalie Bachand and Daniel Lanteigne. Their departure
makes way for Mathieu Huot and Marie-Chantal Viau. Welcome
aboard! Your work is cut out for you…
And on that note, I want to wish you a fantastic summer!
Sylvain B. Tremblay, C.Adm., F.Pl.
Chair of the Board of Directors of the IQPF
