Wendy Wagner is a partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office and leader of the firm's International Trade
service group. In her international trade law practice, Wagner advises on free trade agreements, anti-dumping/
countervail, export & import controls, all aspects of customs (tariff classification, valuation, origin), and
investor-state disputes. She represents pharmaceutical companies on trade-related matters including WTO
TRIPS; the transportation industry on customs compliance, AMPS and other legal issues of significance to
the transportation industry; and the defense sector on export controls and controlled goods issues. She has ap-
peared as counsel on trade-related matters before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal and the Federal
Court of Appeal. In her media and defamation practice, Wagner defends clients against defamation law suits,
acts as counsel for the media in Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms cases involving freedom of the press
and represents the media to oppose publication bans and other restraints on publication.

Geoff Adair's practice is focused entirely on trial and appellate advocacy. Adair's courtroom experience is virtu-
