Partner. Matthew Sammon's practice encompasses complex corporate and commercial
litigation, professional liability and medical malpractice, and employment matters. Sammon represents medi-

telecommunications, retail, regulated health professions, manufacturing, hospitality, and oil & gas. He also
has legal expertise in conducting forensic investigations into the misappropriation of trade secrets, as well
as unfair competition practices by former officers and employees. Sammon appears regularly in all levels of
the Ontario courts, and before administrative and arbitration tribunals. Sammon appears as defense counsel
before the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and the Ontario Health Professions Appeal and
Review Board. He has also appeared as counsel in a number of coroner's inquests. He is a frequent writer and
speaker on various specialized legal topics.

Founding partner. Glenn Smith has a diverse commercial litigation practice with an emphasis on class actions
and complex insurance litigation. He has been retained on some of the most significant insurance law cases
in Canada. He has a special interest in product liability and cases involving insurance coverage of corporate
directors and officers as well as the legal dimensions of technology. Smith was on the Ontario Task Force for
implementing the Ontario e-Discovery Guidelines. He frequently lectures to professional organizations on
e-discovery, technology and the law. He has taught trial advocacy for many years and is a certified mediator.
