GROUPE HOLDINGS

On February 1, 2016, Hudson's Bay Compa-
ny completed its acquisition of Gilt Groupe
Holdings, Inc. for US$250 million.
Gilt Groupe is a membership-based online
retailer that caters to shoppers in the millen-
nial generation.
Hudson's Bay Company opened its first
stand-alone Gilt shop inside its new Saks Off
5th store in Manhattan on March 3, 2016.
HBC was led by David Pickwoad, Senior
Vice-President and General Counsel and
Mark Fedorowycz, Vice-President and Gen-
eral Counsel, and advised by M&A counsel
Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in New
York with a team led by Gordon Caplan,
Gregory Astrachan and Michael Brandt that
also included Anthony Carbone, Michael
Katz, Jeffrey Daniel, Michael Casas, Frances
