His practice focuses on international commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration and cross-border litigation. He has argued cases involving businesses and governments from around the world before international arbitral tribu- nals established under international commercial contracts, bilateral investment treaties and trade agreements. ese cases have been governed by the rules of the ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, AAA and CIETAC, amongst others. He has been recognized for his work in international arbitration in a number of legal directories, including: Chambers Global: e World's Leading Lawyers for Business; Who's Who Legal; e Best Lawyers in Canada; Lexpert®; and Legal Media Group's Guide to the World's Leading Experts in Commercial Arbitration. He speaks English, French and Spanish. Practice focuses on public, business and international trade and investment law. Has appeared as counsel at all levels of court in Ontario, at the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, before the Supreme Court of Canada, in commercial and investment arbitrations and before a variety of administrative tribunals. Regularly advises corpo- rations and federal, provincial and municipal governments on NAFTA and WTO matters. Drymer joined Woods as partner and Head of International Arbitration and ADR in January 2013 aer many years as Co-chair of International Arbitration at a major Canadian and international firm. Drymer's practice is focused on domestic and international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. He acts as counsel, as well as arbitrator and mediator, in domestic and international commercial and invest- ment disputes, and advises parties on a broad range of issues associated with the design, negotiation, draing and implementation of dispute resolution agreements and strate- gies. Educated and trained in both common law and civil, he has acted in disputes in a wide array of industries, involving the laws of many jurisdictions, in both institutional and ad hoc proceedings. Drymer is as well very active as counsel and arbitrator in the resolution of sport-related disputes in Canada and internationally. A member of various institutional rosters of arbitrators and mediators, Drymer is recognized as one of the world's leading international lawyers and arbitrators.
