He advises domestic and foreign businesses on various transac- tional matters, including mergers and acquisitions and the structuring of public-private partnerships. He has also acted for several foreign corporations entering the Canadian market by advising them on sales tax issues. Gadbois is also involved in several major GST/HST litigation cases, including high-risk audits. He acts for several Ontario wholesalers who have been assessed for uncollected sales taxes on their sales of tobacco products to Indians living on reserves. A highly sought-a er speaker in sales tax matters in Canada and abroad, notably in France and Hong Kong, Gadbois is a widely published author on topics related to commodity taxes.
