Robert Paré practices mainly in the areas of governance, mergers & acquisitions and
securities law. He is recognized as one of Canada's most distinguished business lawyers
by leading legal publications. He has worked for corporate issuers and underwriters in
several public issues domestically and internationally. In collaboration with colleagues
in the credit and insolvency section, Paré has advised businesses in fi nancial diffi culty
as to their recapitalization alternatives. He also acts as counsel in Canada and overseas
on large-scale acquisition projects and for special committees of boards of directors and
parties in connection with take-over bids. Paré speaks regularly in the context of profes-
sional training programs and at seminars on specialized topics related to his area of

Michel Boislard's business law practice is one primarily focused on securities, mergers
and acquisitions, and corporate fi nance. Boislard acts for public and private corporations
in complex national and cross-border transactions. He has extensive experience in the
high-tech and biotechnology industries. He is a member of Fasken Martineau's Board of
Directors and former Chair of the business group of the fi rm's Montréal offi ce. Boislard
