been involved in numerous complex corporate bankruptcies and reorganizations. Has
published articles and lectured on topics focusing on insolvency law, banking law and the
legislative amendments to the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act, the Bankruptcy and
Insolvency Act and the Civil Code of Québec. Has been involved with the Offi ce of the Su-
perintendent in bankruptcy with respect to trustee insolvency tutorials and sat on the
board for the oral examinations leading to a trustee license. Member of the ABI, CBA

Disciplinary Committee. Graduate of the Université de Montréal (BSc, 1979; LLB,

Practice focuses mainly on bankruptcy, insolvency and corporate commercial litigation.
Involved in many complex fi nancial disputes and in most of the large restructurings in
Québec in recent years. Acted on behalf of important corporations in their recovery under
the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act. Acted for a group of secured creditors in the
restructurings of AbitibiBowater and White Birch, and for the parent company in the re-
structuring of Quebecor World. Represented large Québec-based companies in their suc-
cessful recovery under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act. Acted on behalf of Le
Groupe ADF Inc., a major steel structure manufacturer, in the restructuring of its largest
debts. Involved in several fi les regarding injunctions and seizures relating to intellectual
property and trade secrets. Frequently pleads before both trial and appeal courts. Recog-
nized by Who's Who Legal and e Best Lawyers in Canada for insolvency and fi nancial
restructuring. Named a litigation star for insolvency in Canada by Benchmark Canada.
