pliance) Regulations. Heavily involved in leading Canadian cases on the scope of anti-trust

Shane Hardy is a partner practicing in the area of trade-marks and copyright law. He acts
as counsel to a wide range of Canadian and international intellectual property rights hold-
ers and assists in the protection and enforcement of some of the world's most famous trade-
marks. Hardy is frequently retained to assist non-IP lawyers in defense of IP infringement
claims. He provides opinions to domestic and international clients on trade-mark avail-
ability and registrability. Hardy's practice has also involved the protection and enforce-
ment of copyrights, trade secrets and patent actions in the Ontario and Federal Courts. He
is a Registered Trade-mark Agent and a member of the Intellectual Property Institute of
Canada, the Toronto Intellectual Property Group and the International Trademark Asso-
ciation. Hardy was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002.
A founding member and partner (practicing through a law corporation) of Vancouver-
based employment and labor law boutique, Roper Greyell LLP, James Kondopulos advises
employers in employment, labor relations and human rights matters. He also acts for em-
ployers and employees in wrongful dismissal actions, and investigates and reports on alle-
gations of workplace harassment, bullying and code of conduct violations. Kondopulos
has represented and appeared on behalf of clients before all levels of court and a wide range
of workplace-related administrative tribunals in BC. He has served two terms as Chair of
the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) BC Branch's Employment Law Section and is an
Executive Member of the CBA's National Labour and Employment Law Section. He edits
