Founding partner. Peter Griffi n is recognized by his peers as one of the top litigators in
Canada. He has extensive experience in complex cross-border litigation, especially as it re-
lates to class proceedings and insolvency and restructuring. He regularly advises the boards
of national and multinational companies. He also represents clients in arbitration and al-
ternative dispute resolution proceedings and acts as an arbitrator in commercial disputes.

Matthew Gottlieb practices business litigation, including corporate and commercial dis-

Jim Grout is a founding partner of TGF who is internationally recognized for his exper-
tise in the fi elds of insolvency, restructuring and related litigation. He has extensive experi-
ence in the automotive, insurance, mining, securities fi rms and hedge fund sectors and has
represented the vast majority of the receivers of securities fi rms in Ontario. He regularly
advises the Ontario Securities Commission on insolvency matters and has advised the Se-
curities and Exchange Commission in respect of a potential cross-border proceeding.

property under the Personal Property Security Act (Ontario). Advises international clients
on cross-border and international insolvency issues. Member, Insolvency Institute of Can-
