Alex Moore is a partner in the M&A, capital markets and corporate/commercial
practices. He has advised clients in a number of industries, but has signifi cant experience
in the mining, energy, technology and communications & media sectors. He has been
involved in a broad range of transactions, including public company M&A, IPOs,
proxy contests, contested transactions and private-equity transactions. Moore regularly
advises companies and signifi cant shareholders of Canadian public companies on their
rights and obligations under Canadian corporate and securities laws. He has advised on
many of Canada's most high-profi le proxy contests and contested transactions. Moore
has taught securities regulation at the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law
