Partner. Practices corporate and securities law with a focus on corporate fi nance,
M&A, corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters. Lawrence has over 25
years experience in high profi le Canadian and international M&A, public company and
private equity transactions. He has acted for both issuers and underwriters in connection
with public off erings including debt fi nancings and cross-border off erings. He has also
acted as counsel in many signifi cant M&A transactions, plans of arrangements and
take-over bids, and provides advice to special committees of public companies. Clients
include pensions and private equity funds and he has extensive experience acting on
investments made by such funds in private and public companies. Lawrence taught
a course on private equity law at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2011–2012. He is
recognized as a leading lawyer in his areas of practice by ! e Canadian Legal Lexpert®
