committees and investment banks in a variety of complex transactions, including hostile
take-over bids, strategic review processes, proxy contests, private equity transactions
and cross-border transactions. Acted for BlackBerry in its 2013 strategic alternative
review process and C$1.25-billion private placement of convertible debt; Viterra in its
C$6.1-billion acquisition by Glencore; IPIC in its C$2.3-billion acquisition of Nova
Chemicals; and Husky and Onex in the C$2.1-billion sale to OMERS and Berkshire.
