Chair of the Board of Directors of the IQPF
build the reputation of the profession. They will always be proud
ambassadors for the IQPF. Congratulations! Congratulations as well
to Caroline Marion, who was named Collaborator of the year 2019,
in recognition of the work she does for the IQPF and for financial
planning.
Congress
Our annual congress was webcast on September 24 and 25. To
make it easier for all financial planners across Québec to take part,
the IQPF had already been offering webcast attendance since 2015.
Despite the success of this entirely on-screen event, though, we
do hope that in 2021 we can gather in person. If so, the Château
Frontenac will welcome us on October 21 and 22.
Financial Planning Week
Buoyed by the excellent results of our web campaign at the
beginning of the pandemic, we made some major changes to the
usual format of our Financial Planning Week campaign for 2020.
Since the pandemic is still a big cause of concern, we thought it
was important to be there for the public with high-quality personal
financial advice, and that is why our campaign began in September.
With the theme "L'IQPF s'invite chez vous" (We're inviting ourselves
over!), we offer a five-part integrated strategy that consists of
five webinars for specifically targeted audiences. Each webinar is
promoted by a short video. We called on financial planners Nathalie
Bachand, Sussy Galvez, Hugo Lehoux and David Truong, and I also
had the pleasure of presenting one. Since money questions are often
related to emotional reactions, psychologist and speaker Rose-Marie
Charest also agreed to take part in the project to talk about this
important aspect of our decisions.
The main objective of the campaign is the same: convincing more
Québecers to work with a financial planner.
And on that note, enjoy your magazine!
