With a background in hu- man resources, Shane Buchanan maintains a general Labour and Employment practice. Both were called to the Saskatchewan bar in 2019. MANITOBA WINNIPEG Andrew Stewart joins ompson Dorf- man Sweatman LLP as an associate. Prior to practising law, Stewart worked for the department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. In this capacity, he was part of a team charged with creating the Express Entry Program, the largest im- migration program in Canada. Over the course of four years, he developed the legal framework for the program, led employer outreach, and subsequently acted as Man- ager of the program's implementation. Emma Cosgrave is an associate in the Litigation, Arbitration and Investigations Group. She maintains a com- mercial litigation practice with a focus on Construction Law. She assists clients with a wide array of construction issues, including delay claims, breach of trust actions, con- struction liens, professional negligence and contract disputes. Emma joins DLA Piper aer working at a commercial litigation firm in Mississauga. Prior to that, she articled at a construction litigation boutique where she worked on high-profile construction arbi- tration and litigation files. Josh Freedman is an associate in DLA Piper's Corporate Group. He has a corporate commercial practice with a focus on corporate finance, Mergers and Acquisitions and securities law matters. She will assess commercial litigation and arbitration matters in which clients seek funding to manage the cost or risk of pursuing a claim. Previously she practised as a lawyer at Cabinet Yves Fortier and at the Permanent Court of Arbitra- tion, where she acted as Secretary to Arbitral Tribunals in international commercial, investor-state and sports arbitration disputes. She has been appointed as an arbitrator and is a member of several arbitration rosters. Daniel H. Thomson has joined Weir- Foulds LLP as a partner in its Finan- cial Services and Corporate Practice Groups.
