Patrick Ouellet is a partner of the firm since 2006. He is known as a one of Québec's finest trial and appel-
late lawyers. His practice spans the fields of commercial, corporate, and civil litigation as well as arbitration.
Patrick's particular focus is on litigation involving securities, telecommunications, class actions, construc-
tion, and shareholder disputes, in which he has been and remains responsible for many especially high-profile
cases. In February 2016, Patrick was named Quebec Litigator of the Year by Benchmark Canada, an honor
bestowed on the basis of extensive research, peer review and ranking. e same publication listed him
as one of Canada's Top 50 Trial Lawyers in its 2017 edition. He is also listed as one of Québec's preeminent
litigators in a number of fields by publications such as Lexpert®, Benchmark and Chambers Canada.
Patrick has taught e Law of Evidence at the Québec Bar School for many years, and he is a sought-aer
speaker on diverse subject matters.

pleaded at all levels of the federal and provincial courts in Ontario and Québec, including the Supreme
Court of Canada. Member of the Faculty of Law and lecturer in civil litigation at McGill University. Author
of Cases and Materials on Civil Procedure (Carswell Legal Publications, 1987) and numerous articles and
papers, including "Measuring the Results of Class Actions," IBA Conference on Class Actions, Rome, 2007.
Called to the Bars of Québec in 1976, Ontario in 1979, Alberta and British Columbia in 2006, England
and Wales in 2007 and Barreau de Paris in 2013. He has also acted as an attorney and arbitrator, either as
president or member of an arbitration tribunal, in many commercial and international arbitrations,
including ICC and ad hoc.
