where he was a member of the small in-house

Kelly Friedman, formerly a litigation
partner at DLA Piper (Canada) LLP, re-
focused her practice by moving to Borden
Ladner Gervais LLP to act as National
Counsel, Discovery Services.
Scott Jolliffe, a partner at Gowling
WLG (Canada) LLP and the firm's former
CEO, was named president of the Canada
Arab Business Council.
DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomed Ro-
han Rajpal as an associate in the firm's Cor-
porate practice group.
Hicks Morley Hamilton Stewart Storie
LLP welcomed associate David Alli.
Gareth Stackhouse joined Fogler, Ru-
binoff LLP as an associate with the firm's
Condominium Law practice group.
In Ottawa, Patricia Kosseim joined Os-
ler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP as counsel to
its Privacy and Data Management practice
group. She also co-leads Osler's AccessPriva-
cy platform. Kosseim served for more than a
decade as Senior General Counsel and Di-
rector General at the Office of the Privacy
Commissioner of Canada.
Serge Dupont, a former senior executive
in the Public Service of Canada, joined Ben-
nett Jones LLP as a senior advisor in Ottawa.

In Montréal, Serge Levy joined Stikeman
Elliott LLP as a partner in the firm's Bank-
ing & Finance practice group. His practice
focuses on banking law, corporate finance,
financial services and commercial law. Levy
has particular expertise in the area of asset-
based lending.
Vicky Berthiaume joined Miller om-
son LLP as an associate. She practises civil
and commercial litigation, with a focus on
construction litigation.
Karl Chabot and Alissa Stachrowski
joined De Grandpré Chait LLP as associates
practising commercial litigation.
Taj Kudhail is now an associate in the
Tax practice group at Fasken Martineau
DuMoulin LLP. He specializes in Canadian
and international tax law in the context of
mergers and acquisitions, corporate restruc-
turings and reorganizations, and executive
compensation, in particular.
Valérie Lafond is now an associate with
McCarthy Tétrault LLP's Litigation prac-
tice group aer moving from a boutique.
