CLOSING DATE: DECEMBER 6, 2017 On December 6, 2017, Novacap acquired a majority stake in Joseph Ribkoff Inc., a Montréal-based designer, manufacturer and distribu- tor of fashionable women's apparel. is transaction is one of the first for Novacap in connection with the fashion industry. It was funded by the Novacap Industries IV, L.P. fund and was completed in partnership with the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, the founder, Joseph Ribkoff, and company senior management. e financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Novacap is a leading Canadian private equity firm with about $2.6 billion under management while Fonds de solidarité FTQ is a Qué- bec-based development capital investment fund with over $13 billion in net assets. Joseph Ribkoff Inc. is one of Canada's leading fashion designers and has a presence in more than 64 international markets. XYLEM COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF PURE TECHNOLOGIES CLOSING DATE: JANUARY 31, 2018 On January 31, 2018, Xylem Inc., a leading global water technology company, completed the acquisition of Pure Technologies Ltd. for $9.00 per share in cash, representing an enterprise value of $509 mil- lion. e transaction, initially announced on December 11, 2017, was effected by way of a plan of arrangement under the Business Corpora- tions Act (Alberta). e acquisition is expected to strengthen Xylem's position as a lead- ing provider of intelligent solutions that address the water industry's most persistent problems, with Pure Technologies' solutions comple- menting the broader Xylem portfolio and bringing greater scale to Xylem's growing data analytics and soware-as-a-service capabilities.
