John Grant joined Miller omson
LLP as a partner. He focuses on tax liti-
gation and advises on a broad range of
matters, including break fees, commodity
taxes, transfer pricing, donation programs,
tax treaty interpretation and corporate tax.
Kristy Balkwill joined Miller omson
LLP as a partner in the firm's corporate tax
practice group.

Kate McGrann, a partner at Crawley
MacKewn Brush LLP, accepted a one-year
secondment with the Enforcement Branch
of the Ontario Securities Commission.
In Ottawa, Glenn Harvey-McKean is
now a partner in advocacy department of
Gowling WLG (Canada) LLP. His prac-
tice focuses primarily on health law matters,
medical defence litigation and professional
discipline proceedings.

In Montréal, Luc Morin joined Norton
Rose Fulbright Canada LLP's litigation
practice. Morin practises civil and commer-
cial litigation, with a focus on bankruptcy,
insolvency and corporate restructuring.
Langlois lawyers welcomed Julie Belley
Perron as a partner and a member of its
business law team. She focuses on environ-
mental issues and energy projects.
Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP wel-
comed Frédéric Harvey and Ryan Rabi-
novitch to its taxation law practice group
as partners. Harvey focuses on M&A, cor-
porate financing, international tax and cor-
porate reorganizations. Rabinovitch focuses
on all aspects of tax law, including tax plan-
ning and litigation.
Pierre Lefebvre moved his litigation
practice to Langlois lawyers where he is now
a partner.
Jean Gagnon, Ad.E., joined Fasken

In Halifax, e Honourable Michel Sam-
son has joined Cox & Palmer as counsel
to its corporate-commercial team. Samson
served as a Member of the Nova Scotia Leg-
islature for the past 19 years.
In St. John's, Leanne O'Leary has been
appointed Managing Partner of Cox &
Palmer's office in that city. O'Leary is a
commercial and insurance litigator.

tice. He focuses on domestic and

with an emphasis on M&A, corporate
finance, governance, project finance,

porate reorganizations. Recent mat-
ters include advising Aéroports de
Montréal — the local airport authority
responsible for the management,
operation and development of Mon-
tréal's Trudeau and Mirabel interna-
tional airports — in connection with
its $250-million bond offering.
