Ken McEwan practices corporate commercial, securities and competition litigation at both trial and
appellate levels. His class-action representations include 3M, Capital One and Cargill, for whom he
successfully acted in the Supreme Court of Canada. He also has a significant arbitration practice and is a
member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. His peer review rankings include a Martindale-Hubbell
rating of AV and Benchmark's British Columbia Litigator of the Year for each of 2013‒2016. He is the
Secretary/Treasurer of the International Society of Barristers, a Director of e Advocates' Society, and
a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has been appointed by the Law Society to the
Committee on Relations with the Judiciary and was a longstanding member of the Attorney General's Rules
Revision Committee until April 2016. He is author of the third edition of Sopinka on the Trial of an Action,
and co-author of Commercial Arbitration in Canada: A Guide to Domestic and International Arbitrations.
