Andrew Hennigar to its corporate com-
mercial practice group. He is now counsel
at the firm. He regularly advises on share
and asset purchase transactions, invest-
ment transactions, corporate structuring
and restructuring, among other corporate
matters. Prior to joining BLG, he practised
at Michael, Evrensel & Pawar LLP.
ALBERTA CALGARY
In Calgary, Paul Bourassa, a Federal
Crown Prosecutor with the Public Pros-
ecution Service of Canada, accepted a con-
tract with the United Nations Office on
Drugs and Crime while on sabbatical. For
the month of September, he mentored lo-
cal prosecutors and investigators in Harare,
Zimbabwe. In this capacity, he provided
advice regarding best practices in asset re-
covery and tackling proceeds of crime and
money laundering. He is also working on
an LL.M. at Osgoode Hall Law School at
York University.
ONTARIO TORONTO
In Toronto, Keegan Boyd moved his liti-
gation practice to Miller omson LLP
aer relocating from McCarthy Tétrault
LLP. He focuses his practice on complex
commercial disputes, professional liability
and health law.
Miller omson LLP welcomed Jason
Rivait as a partner. He focuses on condo-
minium law and has extensive experience
dealing with all condominium-related
matters. His clients include condominium
corporations, condominium developers
and condominium unit owners. Prior to
joining the firm, he was an associate at Lash
Condo Law.
Belinda Rossi joined Miller omson
LLP as a partner in the firm's Markham,
Ont., office. Her practice includes all facets
of family law including assisting clients with
complex income, property, tax and corpo-
rate issues.
QUÉBEC MONTRÉAL
In Montréal, Adam Saskin joined Fasken
Martineau DuMoulin LLP as a partner in
the firm's corporate and real estate law prac-
tices. His commercial practice includes ad-
vising start-ups and specialized technology
companies, from incorporation through to
closing. His practice also covers mergers and
acquisitions, capital investment, venture
capital, equity financing and debt financing.
Saskin has extensive real estate experience
in acquisitions and dispositions, and regu-
larly acts on behalf of landlords and tenants
in commercial lease matters.
In Québec City, Kateri Vincent moved
to Langlois lawyers LLP where she practises
business law, labour law, civil law and Ab-
original law. She is a member of the Huron-
Wendat Nation and grew up in the com-
munity of Wendake, where the firm has a
new office. She is particularly interested in
issues involving First Nations, and has rep-
resented band councils, corporations and
other Aboriginal-related entities. Vincent
has specific expertise in the application of
laws on reserve territories, particularly re-
garding protection of the environment, re-
spect for ancestral rights and treaty rights,
indigenous participation in development
projects affecting ancestral lands, recogni-
tion of Indian status, aboriginal taxation
and the implementation of legal vehicles to
foster economic development.

MOVES
Experienced litigator Peter Major,
QC, moved to McLennan Ross LLP
as a partner. He was previously a
partner with McMillan LLP's energy
practice where he advised individ-
uals, and junior, mid-size and major
corporations at all levels of court in
Alberta. Major has also led in many
non-energy related commercial
disputes, for example, serving as
Canadian counsel for an overseas
institutional client in a $700-million
cross-border banking litigation dis-
pute. Prior to entering private prac-
tice, he was a prosecutor with the
Alberta Department of Justice.

Restructuring & Insolvency
Jennifer Stam moved her restruc-
turing practice to Goldman Sloan
Nash & Haber LLP, where she is
now counsel. She was previously
a partner at Gowling WLG (Canada)
LLP and, prior to that, at Norton
Rose Fulbright Canada LLP. Stam
played a key role in the representa-
tion of Nortel Networks Corp. in
its complex, multi-jurisdictional
restructuring, which closed in
May after an eight-year process.
She was also monitor counsel
in the restructuring of Sino-Forest,
which closed in 2013. Stam won
a Lexpert Zenith Award in 2011.
