has extensive experience in tax planning for family farms and succession planning for family farms and
private corporate groups. Cherniawsky qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981 and received his FCA
in 2015. Member of the CICA, CBA and CTF. Former Governor of the CTF. Former Vice Chair of the
CBA Taxation Section for Northern Alberta. Former member of the ICAA — Revenue Canada liaison

David McFadden is counsel in Gowling WLG's Toronto office. McFadden acts for corporations,
municipalities and utilities involved in the generation, distribution, marketing, transmission and financing
of energy. He also acts for clients involved in infrastructure development, management financing and
renewal. McFadden serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of both 407 International Inc. and Toronto
Hydro Corporation. He is a member of the Board of the Ontario Energy Association, having served
previously as Chair. McFadden is a member of the Council for Clean & Reliable Electricity, the Smart Grid
Forum of the IESO and the Board of Governors of York University. McFadden served as the founding
President of the Canada-US Business Association. He is also a former Chair of the Toronto Region Board
of Trade and the Ontario Centres of Excellence.
