BRITISH COLUMBIA VANCOUVER
In Vancouver, David Wotherspoon moved
to MLT Aikins LLP where he is now a part-
ner. Wotherspoon leads the litigation group
for the firm's Vancouver office. His recent
matters include representing the Electronic
Frontier Foundation as intervener in the
Google v. Equustek case before the British
Columbia Court of Appeal and the Su-
preme Court of Canada. He moved from
Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP.
Jeff Bright joined MLT Aikins as coun-
sel. He advises on issues including startup
structure, corporate governance, financing,
intellectual property protection and M&A.
Miller omson LLP welcomed John
Doolan as a partner and senior real estate
lawyer. He has a wide variety of experience
in commercial real estate law and Aborigi-
nal law matters. He made the move from
McCarthy Tétrault LLP.
Heather Jones joined Miller omson as
partner in the firm's commercial litigation
group. Jones has experience in a broad range
of litigation matters.
Kathy Tang is now associate counsel at
Miller omson in the firm's capital mar-
kets and securities group, working in the
areas of securities, corporate finance and
corporate/commercial law.
ALBERTA CALGARY, EDMONTON
In Calgary, Robert Housman joined Osler,
Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, where he prac-
tises real estate law as a partner. Housman
recently advised on the acquisition, develop-
ment, bond financing and strata subdivision
of e Bow, a 58-storey tower in Calgary.
He relocated from Norton Rose Fulbright
Canada LLP.
In Edmonton, Lisa Wold and Grant
Sprague joined Miller omson. Wold, a
litigator, advises on all aspects of employ-
ment law including professional regulatory
issues. She joins the firm as a partner from
Bennett Jones LLP. Sprague, who joins the

litigator John Campion joined
Gardiner Roberts as partner and
head of its class action practice.
Campion brings more than four
decades of expertise as a trial,
appeal and arbitration counsel.
He joins the firm from Fasken Mar-
tineau DuMoulin LLP, where some
of his cases included representing
VIA Rail at the Gomery Inquiry and
defending Maurice Strong at the
United Nations Oil-for-Food Investi-
gation. The next stage of his ca-
reer involves a bid to reshape how
dispute resolution is managed.

Lawrence (Lawrie) Wilder relocated
his corporate and securities law
practice to Miller Thomson, where
he is now a partner in its business
law group. Wilder moved from Cas-
sels Brock & Blackwell LLP, after
almost 22 years at that firm. Early
this year, he acted for private-label
business Apollo Health & Beauty
Care Partnership in its acquisition
by Acasta Enterprises (SPAC).
He has also acted on many trans-
actions in the REIT and hospitality
sectors, including advising Accor
in its acquisition of the Fairmont
Raffles and Swissôtel chains.
Don Alberga returned to BLG where
he continues his employment and
labour practice after moving from
Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP.
(Alberga began his career at BLG
in 2003.) He has many years of
experience advising employers on
worker's compensation and occu-
pational health and safety issues.
He provides counsel to safety
groups in the manufacturing, food
and retail industries. During his
career, he has acted on more than
500 employment litigation cases
in Québec. Alberga speaks English,
French and Italian.
