VALE SELLS AN ADDITIONAL GOLD STREAM FROM ITS SALOBO MINE TO SILVER WHEATON FOR US$800M CLOSING DATE: AUGUST 16, 2016 On August 16, 2016, Vale S.A. ("Vale") completed the sale to Silver Wheaton Corp ("Silver Wheaton") of an additional 25 per cent of the gold by-product stream from Vale's Brazilian Salobo copper mine for US$800 million and approximately US$23 million in option value arising from re-pricing of certain Silver Wheaton warrants. Oil & Gas Oil & Gas Oil & Gas GEO-JADE PETROLEUM ACQUIRES BANKERS PETROLEUM FOR $575M CLOSING DATE: SEPTEMBER 29, 2016 On September 29, 2016, Bankers Petroleum Ltd. completed its plan of arrangement with affiliates of Geo-Jade Petroleum Corpo- ration. As a result of the Transaction, Geo-Jade acquired all the issued and outstanding common shares of Bankers through its af- filiates for approximately $575M. e transaction was effected by way of a plan of arrangement under the Business Corporations Act. Bankers Petroleum will maintain corporate and technical head- quarters in Calgary with operational offices in Albania, Hungary and Romania. Bankers Petroleum Ltd. is a Canadian-based oil and gas explora- tion and production company focused on developing large oil and gas reserves in Albania and Eastern Europe. Geo-Jade Petroleum is a fast-growing oil and gas exploration and development enterprise based in Beijing.
