John J.L. Hunter has a general commercial litigation and arbitration practice
with Hunter Litigation Chambers in Vancouver, BC. He appears regularly in the trial and appellate courts of
British Columbia in a wide range of commercial and public law matters and has represented clients as diverse
as Imperial Tobacco, Weyerhaeuser and the Attorney General of British Columbia in the Supreme Court
of Canada. In 2013 he was appointed amicus curiae by the Supreme Court of Canada in the Senate Reform
Reference. Hunter is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Society of
Barristers. In addition to his practice as counsel, he is frequently called upon to act as arbitrator in commer-
cial disputes. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of the Western Canada
Commercial Arbitration Society. He was President of the Law Society of British Columbia in 2008 and of the

Member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group of Dentons' Vancouver office and Co-lead of the
firm's global Product Liability and Mass Torts Litigation Group. With a focus on complex cases, Craig Den-
nis's practice covers a range of corporate and commercial litigation, with particular focus on product and
professional liability, contaminated sites and real property issues, securities litigation, shareholder rights, op-
pression proceedings, and contract and commercial issues. Dennis has extensive experience in defending class
actions and regulatory proceedings, and in providing risk management advice for professionals and businesses
generally. Dennis maintains a significant appellate and public law practice. He acts for a wide range of busi-
nesses and appears before all levels of court in BC, as well as before the Federal Court and the Supreme Court
of Canada. He has appeared before courts or tribunals in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New
Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Ken McEwan practices corporate commercial, securities and competition liti-
gation at both trial and appellate levels. His class-action representations include 3M, Capital One and Cargill,
for whom he successfully acted in the Supreme Court of Canada. He also has a significant arbitration practice
and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. His peer review rankings include a Martindale-
Hubbell rating of AV and Benchmark's British Columbia Litigator of the Year for each of 2013-2016. He is
a Director of both the International Society of Barristers and e Advocates' Society, and a member of the
American College of Trial Lawyers. He has been appointed by the Law Society to the Committee on Rela-
tions with the Judiciary and was a longstanding member of the Attorney General's Rules Revision Committee
until April 2016. He is author of the third edition of Sopinka on the Trial of an Action and co-author of Com-

Andrew Nathanson has a broad litigation practice with a focus on complex commercial
litigation and white-collar crime. He is active in shareholder litigation, notably involved in representing Lions
Gate Entertainment in successfully resisting the Icahn Group's hostile take-over bid, proxy contest and op-
pression proceedings. Nathanson is the Co-leader of Fasken Martineau's White Collar Defence and Investiga-
tions Group. He has substantial experience in criminal and regulatory defense and constitutional cases. He
is currently defending international human rights litigation involving allegations of forced labor and torture.
Nathanson has appeared before all levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada. Many of his cases
involve multi-jurisdictional disputes, and he is an honorary member of the UK's Commercial Bar Association.
He has taught civil procedure as an Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Law
and has written on directors' and officers' liability, restitution, advocacy and legal ethics.
