Jeff Christian is a litigation partner in the Vancouver office of Lawson Lundell LLP, with a practice focused

Matt Ghikas is a partner in Fasken Martineau's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group. He acts for clients
in the energy and natural resources industries, and other regulated industries. He represents clients in liti-
gation, arbitrations and mediations, as well as in administrative proceedings. Ghikas appears before regula-
tory tribunals on behalf of clients. He has experience representing regulated companies in regulatory-related
matters, including revenue requirements applications, capital project approvals, rate design, cost of capital/re-
turn on equity, PBR, environmental assessments and compliance with electric reliability standards. He is lead
regulatory counsel to the largest natural gas utility in British Columbia, acts for electric utilities, and advises
pipeline owners. Ghikas was called to the BC Bar in 1999 and the Alberta Bar in 2013. He is a roster arbitrator
with the American Arbitration Association, holds an MCIArb designation in International Arbitration from

Jonathan Liteplo represents participants in the electricity, oil and gas, pipeline, water and wastewater indus-
tries in obtaining facilities, environmental, land use planning, import/export, and utility rates and tariff-relat-
ed approvals from regulatory authorities. He also represents energy clients in disputes involving other indus-
try participants, and has worked on projects requiring federal and provincial environmental assessments and
wide-ranging public and First Nations consultation. Liteplo's clients have included owners of regulated util-
ities and generating facilities, oil and gas producers and midstream operators, oil sands producers, proponents
of LNG projects, transporters of natural gas and crude oil, buyers and owners under power purchase arrange-
ments, regulated and unregulated retailers of electricity services, energy marketers and importers/exporters,
coal mine operators and petrochemical companies. He is frequently recognized for his energy law expertise in
