Brett Anderson's practice includes all areas of Canadian taxation law, with a particular focus on mergers and
acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and international tax planning. Anderson also assists clients in resolving
disputes with the Canadian tax authorities. He was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2004 aer articling at the
Supreme Court of Canada and has been a partner of Felesky Flynn LLP since 2010. Anderson is the Chair of
the Board of Directors of the Children's Legal & Educational Resource Centre and the Vice-chair of the Board
of Directors of Pro Bono Law Alberta, and a member of the Young IFA Network Committee of the Canadian
IFA Branch. Anderson has spoken at numerous tax conferences, seminars and Bar association meetings, and has
been a sessional professor of both tax and trust law at the University of Calgary, Faculty of Law.

Jag Shergill practices corporate and commercial law (domestic, cross-border and international transactions), in
the area of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, commercial agreements (including license agreements,
franchise and management agreements and governance agreements), succession planning/exits and restructur-
ings. As part of his practice, Shergill acts for private-equity firms in connection with their fund formation and
investments. He also participates in the ongoing maintenance and ultimate sale and disposition of PE portfolio
companies. Shergill also works with clients in the public sector, particularly pension plans, other tax-exempt en-
tities and their fiduciaries, with respect to their structuring activities and their real estate and private placement
investments. Shergill has assisted clients with investments in Canada, the United States, Europe and South
America. Shergill was recently selected for inclusion in e Best Lawyers in Canada 2016 in the practice area of
