Craig McDougall's practice is restricted to taxation matters focusing on commodity tax/customs and corpo-
rate tax. McDougall was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1992 and appointed QC in 2010. He is currently past
chair of the National Commodity Tax, Customs and Trade Section of the CBA, and a member of the CBA,
LSA, CTF and CPTS. McDougall is a recipient of the Normand Guérin Award (1997) for advancement
of commodity taxation studies. He previously served as President and Director of the CPTS, Chair of the
Taxation Specialists Section (Southern Alberta) of the CBA, and Chair of the Taxation and Economic Af-
fairs Committee of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce. McDougall has lectured on taxation matters to the
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, the CICA, the CBA and the CTF, and has served as a sessional
instructor at the University of Calgary, Faculty of Law.

Terry Barnett is a partner working out of the Vancouver and Toronto offices of orsteinssons LLP. Barnett's
practice focuses on the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST), Goods and Services Tax (GST), Provincial Sales Tax,
customs law, land transfer taxes, municipal taxation and all other Canadian commodity and indirect taxes.
Barnett has practiced in the GST area since the inception of the tax in 1991 and writes extensively on GST/
HST and other indirect tax matters in Canadian and international publications. Areas of particular experi-
ence include real estate development, financial services, cross-border transactions, health care and medical
practitioners, First Nations and charities/non-profits. Barnett's practice also includes provincial sales tax and
GST/HST appeals and litigation. Other Achievements: Normand Guérin Award of the CICA (now CPA),

Neil Campbell is Co-chair of McMillan's Competition and International Trade groups and a member of the
Energy group. His competition law practice focuses on merger clearances under the Competition Act; reviews
under the Investment Canada Act; representation in cartel, abuse of dominance and other competition law
proceedings; and advising on marketing, distribution, grey marketing and joint-venture issues. His trade law
practice includes anti-dumping and subsidy proceedings; NAFTA and WTO matters; export/import con-
trols and trade sanctions; foreign corrupt practices and investor-state disputes. His energy law practice focuses
on the electricity sector and he is the past Chair of the market monitor for Ontario's wholesale electricity mar-
kets. Campbell has particularly extensive experience in the financial services, pharmaceuticals and chemicals,
food and beverage, natural resources, broadcasting, entertainment, transportation and information technol-
ogy industries. He is a past Chair of the IBA's Antitrust Committee and a member of the ABA Antitrust
Section's International Task Force.
