His practice concentrates on complex commercial litigation with particular focus on Shareholder Rights/Corporate Governance and International Law. Significant cases have included acting for a group of institutional bondholders in challenging the C$52-billion leveraged buyout of BCE, defending a publicly traded mining company and its directors against allegations of oppression, director negligence and breach of contract and several ICC arbitrations. Koehnen is the author of Oppression and Related Remedies, a leading text on shareholder rights and directors' liabilities published by Carswell, a omson Reuters business. He teaches at the Institute of Corporate Directors and is a past Litiga- tion Committee Co-chair of the International Bar Association. Partner.
