Neil Campbell is Co-chair of McMillan's Competition and International Trade
groups and a member of the Energy group. His competition law practice focuses on
merger clearances under the Competition Act; reviews under the Investment Canada
Act; representation in cartel, abuse of dominance and other competition law proceed-
ings; and advising on marketing, distribution, grey marketing and joint-venture issues.
His trade law practice includes anti-dumping and subsidy proceedings; NAFTA and
WTO matters; export/import controls and trade sanctions; foreign corrupt practices
and investor-state disputes. His energy law practice focuses on the electricity sector and
he is the past Chair of the market monitor for Ontario's wholesale electricity markets.
Campbell has particularly extensive experience in the financial services, pharmaceuticals
and chemicals, food and beverage, natural resources, broadcasting, entertainment, trans-
portation, and information technology industries. He is ranked as one of the "Top 30
Global Competition Lawyers" in Expert Guides' e Best of the Best.
Chair of Blakes' Competition, Antitrust & Foreign Investment Group and past Chair of
the Canadian Bar Association's National Competition Law Section. Has advised clients
in hundreds of regulatory matters under the Competition Act and Investment Canada
Act. Represents leading corporations from Canada and around the world before govern-
mental bodies, including the Competition Bureau, Competition Tribunal, federal and
