Has acted as counsel in over 85 corporate arrangements and restructurings, including
EnCana Corporation, Korea National Oil Company/Harvest Energy Trust, Western
Oil Sands/Marathon Oil, TCPL/Nova Corporation, Trizec, Canadian Airlines,
TELUS and Dome/Amoco. Has appeared at all court levels in Alberta, the Supreme
Court of Canada and before numerous Alberta and Canadian regulatory boards and
agencies, including the Alberta and British Columbia Securities Commissions, the
Alberta Municipal Government Board and the Alberta College of Physicians and
Surgeons. Bencher of e Law Society of Alberta, 1995–2002 and member of the LSA
Executive Committee, 1998–2002. Chair of the Alberta Law Foundation, 1995–2002;
Director of VIA Rail Canada Inc., 1995–2005. Called to the Manitoba Bar in 1977 and
