Practices exclusively in the field of securities litigation. Regularly represents investment
dealers, public companies, investment funds, directors and officers in a wide range of
matters, including regulatory investigations and proceedings before provincial securi-
ties commissions, all Canadian stock exchanges and self-regulatory organizations.
Experienced in representing bidders and targets in contested mergers and acquisition
transactions. From 1994 to 1996, served as an enforcement counsel at the Ontario
Securities Commission and thereaer continued to act for the Commission in a variety
of enforcement matters. Advises foreign regulators on securities regulation and enforce-
ment matters. Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto Law School where he
co-leads the Securities Law in the Adversarial Setting course. Recognized by e Best
