Paper market, the contest over the acquisition of BCE, the Danier Leather class action,

Stéphanie Lapierre specializes in complex corporate and financial litigation, including
securities litigation, shareholder disputes and other financial litigation. She is regularly
involved in court proceedings undertaken pursuant to corporate statutes, including court-
sanctioned arrangements, dissidence rights and liquidations. Lapierre has been involved
in high-profile securities law cases, including litigation arising in hostile take-over bids
and concerning securities law infractions, such as insider trading, market manipulation
and disseminating false and misleading information. She represents reporting issuers
in the context of investigations conducted by the Autorité des marchés financiers. She
advises boards of directors and senior management of corporations on complex legal
issues. Lapierre is a member of the Canadian Bar Association's Business Law Section ‒
Commercial Litigation Committee and presently Co-chairs the Business and Corporate
Litigation Committee's International Litigation Subcommittee of the American Bar
Association. She was called to the Québec Bar in 2000.
