Stam has extensive experience in debtor restructurings, having spent the last fi ve years as the partner on the frontlines of the Nortel Networks restructuring. She was also one of the lead partners advising the monitor in the Sino-Forest fi le. ese and other roles have allowed her to develop deep expertise in all aspects of domestic and cross-border insolvencies. Stam has acted for debtors, creditors, court offi cers and other stakeholders in a wide range of industries. Stam regularly publishes and speaks in this area of law. She is recognized in Chambers Global 2015: ! e World's Leading Lawyers for Business for restructuring/insolvency. » Paul Singh is a partner who practices in the Corporate Law Group at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. Singh works from both the fi rm's Toronto and Calgary offi ces. He previously spent three years with the fi rm in the US, where he further developed his cross-border transactional expertise. Singh's practice focuses primarily on large, complex transactions involving domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, dives- titures, private-equity investments, reorganizations and joint ventures. Singh's practice also includes the structuring and negotiating of commercial agreements, including shareholder, partnership, joint venture, services agreements and other unique commer- cial arrangements. Singh advises on structuring, establishing and expanding Canadian operations for a number of US and other foreign clients and acts as Canadian corporate counsel for a number of such clients. Singh participates in legal education, teaching on areas of business law. Singh is a member of the fi rm's Equity and Diversity Committee, India Initiative and Student Committee (Co-chair of the Articling Program). » Brett Stewart is a partner in the fi rm's Corporate and Commercial Law Group. Her practice focuses on assisting domestic and foreign clients with negotiated transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, asset and share sales, corporate reorganizations, private placements, private-equity fi nancings, venture capital fi nancings and manage- ment buyouts. In addition, Stewart regularly advises clients on corporate governance issues and day-to-day corporate and commercial matters, including the review and preparation of complex agreements. She has represented clients in a number of sectors, including food processing, engineering, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, manufacturing, transportation and gaming. Stewart was recognized as one of Lexpert®'s "Rising Stars: Leading Lawyers Under 40."
