Markus Koehnen has appeared before all levels of courts in Canada, including the Su- preme Court of Canada, as well as before domestic and international arbitral tribunals. Signifi cant cases have included acting for a group of institutional bondholders in challenging the $52-billion leveraged buyout of BCE, defending a publicly traded mining company and its directors against allegations of oppression, director negligence and breach of contract and several ICC arbitrations. Koehnen is the author of Oppression and Related Remedies, a leading text on shareholder rights and directors' liabilities published by Carswell, a omson Reuters business.
