Partner. Linda Fuerst's practice covers a broad range of commercial and professional li- ability matters, with a focus on securities litigation, class proceedings and regulatory issues. She has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, and in connection with proceedings of the Ontario, Alberta and Nova Scotia Securities Commissions, as well as Market Regulation Services (now IIROC), the Mutual Fund Dealers Association and the Competition Bureau. Fuerst also represents corporations and individuals with respect to internal investigations. She has earned a Distinguished Peer Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and a Gold Key Award from the Osgoode Hall Law School Alumni Association. Fuerst has also been recognized for her work in securities liti- gation by Best Lawyers and Lexpert®. Most recently, Fuerst was appointed by the Ontario Securities Commission to the Securities Proceedings Advisory Committee, and is on the Ontario Bar Association Executive for Civil Litigation and Class Proceedings. Mark A. Gelowitz is a partner in the litigation department of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. He is Chair of the fi rm's National Corporate Governance and Securities Litigation Group and Co-chair of the fi rm's International Commercial Arbitration Group. Gelowitz has a business-focused civil litigation, appellate litigation and international commercial arbitration practice. His cases have covered a wide variety of issues in corporate and com- mercial law, including mergers & acquisitions litigation, directors' & offi cers' liability, op- pression remedy, libel and slander, product liability, mining litigation and class-actions procedure. He completed the BCL degree at Oxford University in 1989 between clerking for the Chief Justice of Saskatchewan and the late Justice Sopinka of the Supreme Court of Canada. Gelowitz has had a number of legal publications, including a book co- authored with the late Justice Sopinka entitled e Conduct of an Appeal, ird Edition (LexisNexis 2012).
