Partner in BLG's Commercial Litigation Group. Practice focuses on public procure-
ment law and government contracting, trade law and public law. He acts for government
and private-sector clients on complex public procurement law matters and trade cases in-
volving dumping and subsidy claims. Additionally, he represents national and internation-
al corporations dealing with customs compliance and anti-corruption compliance mat-
ters. He was previously general counsel at the Canadian International Trade Tribunal
(1995‒2001) and the Immigration and Refugee Board (1989‒1994). Has appeared before
all levels of courts and tribunals, including the Supreme Court of Canada and the Security

Geoff rey Kubrick is a partner in McMillan LLP and Chair of its International Trade
Group. He is one of Canada's leading practitioners in the fi eld of international trade law.
He has appeared in more than 80 trade-related cases before Canadian courts, tribunals and
NAFTA panels, including a number of leading trade cases. His experience in the area of
international trade, particularly in anti-dumping and countervail investigations, allows
him to off er expertise on anti-dumping and anti-subsidy complaints or prosecute appeals
against decisions of the Canada Border Services Agency, and to provide related opinions
and submissions. He has extensive experience in appearing before the Canadian Interna-
tional Trade Tribunal in injury investigations and other trade proceedings. He advises cli-
ents on provisions of the WTO, NAFTA and bilateral trade agreements. He is listed

der NAFTA Chapter 11 and bilateral investment treaties and companies involved in inter-
national commercial disputes. Serves as an arbitrator, both in panels and as a sole arbitra-
tor, and represents clients before all relevant administrative agencies and courts in Canada.
Trade practice includes anti-dumping and countervailing duty cases, export and import
controls, economic sanctions, tariff classifi cation, customs valuation and seizures. Assists
federal and provincial government agencies, state enterprises and private-sector parties in
trade disputes and in the interpretation and implementation of trade agreements (WTO,
NAFTA and other bilateral and plurilateral agreements). Called to Bars of Québec, On-
