litigation, professional liability and medical malpractice and employment matters. Sam-
mon represents medical professionals and large corporations across a wide range of sectors,
including fi nancial services, banking, telecommunications, retail, regulated health profes-
sions, manufacturing, hospitality, and oil & gas. He also has legal expertise in conducting
forensic investigations into the misappropriation of trade secrets, as well as unfair competi-
tion practices by former offi cers and employees. Sammon appears regularly in all levels of
the Ontario courts, and before administrative and arbitration tribunals. Sammon appears
as defense counsel before the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and the On-
tario Health Professions Review and Appeal Board. He has also appeared as counsel in a
number of coroner's inquests. He is a frequent writer and speaker on various specialized
legal topics.
Partner in the litigation practice. Focuses on corporate commercial litigation with exper-
tise in securities and mining. Has appeared as lead counsel for public and private corpora-
tions in matters before various courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada, the Courts
of Appeal of Ontario, BC and the Yukon, and various tribunals, including the Ontario
Securities Commission. Has acted as lead counsel in international arbitrations, given ex-
pert evidence in the US, and regularly acts in matters involving Spanish-speaking parties.
