ACQUIRES TALISMAN ASSETS
Closing date: March 12, 2014
Progress Energy Canada Ltd. acquired Talisman Energy's
partnership interest and assets comprising approximately
127,000 net acres of its Montney position in the Farrell
Creek and Cypress areas of northeast British Columbia for
$1.5 billion.
Talisman Energy was represented by in-house counsel

CRESCENT POINT ENERGY
ACQUIRES CANERA ENERGY
Closing date: May 15, 2014
Crescent Point Energy Corp., one of Canada's largest light
and medium oil producers, acquired CanEra Energy Corp,
a privately held oil and gas producer in southeast Saskatch-
ewan, by way of plan of arrangement.
Pursuant to the arrangement, Crescent Point acquired
all of the issued and outstanding shares of CanEra. The
total consideration for CanEra was approximately $1.1 bil-
lion, including approximately 12.9 million common shares
of Crescent Point, approximately $190 million of cash con-
sideration and the assumption of approximately $348 mil-
lion of net debt.

cent Point on corporate, securities, employment, tax and
