royalty starting at an estimated $11 million per year and
growing to an estimated $24 million by end of term. The
transaction extends Teranet's electronic land registration

REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PHASE 2

Children's and Women's Health Centre of British Colum-
bia Branch, a branch society of the Provincial Health Servic-
es Authority (PHSA), reached financial close with Affinity
Partnerships for the BC Children's and BC Women's Re-
development Project Phase 2 to design, build, finance and
maintain the new Teck Acute Care Centre at BC Children's
Hospital and BC Women's Hospital and Health Centre.
The Teck Acute Care Centre will include medical/surgi-
cal inpatient units, an emergency department, medical im-
aging and procedural suites, a hematology/oncology depart-
ment and a pediatric intensive care unit for BC Children's. It
will also include a high-risk labour and delivery suite and a
new neonatal intensive care unit for BC Women's. The Teck
Acute Care Centre will be an eight-storey, 640,000-square-
foot facility and will be designed and built to meet the Can-
ada Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design (LEED) Gold standard.
The BC Children's and BC Women's Redevelopment
Project Phase 2 was procured under the public-private part-
nership (P3) model, with Partnerships BC as an advisor, and
is the second phase of the three-phase redevelopment proj-
ect and has an estimated budget of $676 million. Affinity
Partnerships will receive annual payments from PHSA over
a 30-year period following construction completion. Pay-
ments cover construction, building maintenance, life-cycle
repair and renewal, and project financing.
