COMPLETES FINANCING FOR
CONSTANCIA PROJECT IN PERU
Closing date: June 2, 2014
Hudbay Minerals Inc. completed a US$150-million stand-
by credit facility for its wholly-owned Constancia project
located in southern Peru and entered into a long-term agree-
ment with Louis Dreyfus Commodities Metals Suisse S.A.
for the sale of approximately 20 per cent of the life of mine
copper concentrate production from the project. Construc-
tion at the Constancia site is well advanced, with initial pro-
duction expected in late 2014.
BNP Paribas acted as agent for the syndicate of lenders,
which includes BNP Paribas and ING Capital LLC. In
connection with the facility, BNP Paribas entered into a
comprehensive intercreditor agreement with Silver Whea-
ton (Caymans) Ltd., which is party to an existing precious
metals streaming transaction relating to the Constancia
project, to govern the rights and priorities as between them
and to appoint La Fiduciaria S.A. to act as collateral agent in
Peru for BNP Paribas and Silver Wheaton (Caymans) Ltd.
